Kelly R. Lanning, D.M.D.
Dr. Lanning received his B.S. in Biology and Physiology from Colorado State University. He received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia where he was a member of the Stomatognathic Honor Society.
After dental school, Dr. Lanning served as a dental officer in the U.S. Navy. He completed a one-year residency in advanced general dentistry at Naval Station, Great Lakes, IL. He then served for 3 years
as a general dentist for the Marine Corps at Twentynine Palms, CA in support of the conflicts in Iraq
and Afghanistan. He was awarded the Navy-Marine Corp Achievement medal for his dedication to duty.
It was during this time that Dr. Lanning realized that he had a passion for Endodontics (root canal therapy) and decided to pursue specialty training. He was accepted to and recently completed the 2-year post-graduate residency program in Endodontics at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. During his Endodontic specialty training, Dr. Lanning learned the most up to date techniques for all phases of the Endodontic specialty, including the use of the dental operating microscope, root canal therapy, Endodontic re-treatment, dental trauma management and apical surgery.
He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Dr. Lanning and his wife Megan live in Phoenixville with their two young children, Alessandra and Jackson, and their dog, a 5 year old, 100 lb. Newfoundland-poodle mix named Declan.
