J. Eric Valencia DMD
After receiving a B.A. degree at the University of Rochester, Dr. Valencia earned his DMD degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He spent one year in a hospital residency program at Staten Island University Hospital, and then practiced general dentistry in Delaware County, Pennsylvania for four years before returning to the University of Pennsylvania’s Advanced Dental Education Program in Endodontics. As part of the post-graduate residency program, he was able to participate as an instructor at the school’s Microscope Training Center, sharing knowledge of the use of microscopes in conventional endodontic treatment as well as in endodontic microsurgery.
After completing the program, he entered private practice limited to endodontics in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey. He remains active in academics as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania where he instructs endodontic residents and general dental students.
He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists.
